In short: no advertising, no tracking, only what's needed to show the website, run the website check and reply to you.
01Who is responsible
The controller for personal data on this website is Charalampos (Haris) Kostaras, Bülach, Canton of Zürich, Switzerland. Privacy questions: haris@kostaras.ch. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG) and, where it applies, the GDPR.
02Hosting
This website runs on WordPress at IONOS SE, Montabaur, on servers in Germany (a move to a Swiss provider is planned). When you visit, the server automatically processes technical data such as IP address, time, page and browser, only to run the site securely and only briefly. Germany offers adequate data protection.
03Cookies and local storage
This website uses no advertising and no tracking. Fonts are served from this website itself. Your browser stores only small preferences locally, such as light or dark mode; you can delete them at any time.
04Website check
When you use the website check, we only process the public address of the website you check. It is sent to Google PageSpeed Insights (Google Ireland Ltd.) for the measurements and to Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, for the AI summary with the Swiss language model Apertus. The result is cached for 24 hours so repeat requests are fast, then deleted. To prevent misuse, checks per visitor are briefly counted under a one-way code made from the IP address. I get a short notification with the checked address.
05Contact and booking
When you write to me or book a call, I process your details (e.g. name, email, phone, company, website, message, chosen time) to reply and prepare our conversation. For the meeting link, the event is created in my calendar at Google (Meet) or Microsoft (Teams). I'm notified of new bookings via Telegram.
06Your rights
You can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to haris@kostaras.ch. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
07Changes
This policy may change when the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
